What is Faith Promise?

Simply explained, Faith Promise is a fund raising effort to support SonLight Church and the International Church of the Nazarene in their mission and outreach efforts for the duration of one year.  One hundred percent of the the financing needed to support these efforts comes from Faith Promise giving.

However!

Faith Promise is something much more... It is a promise between you and God to give a specific dollar amount.  We call it Faith Promise because it is give out of faith according to what God lays upon your heart to give.  Then, it's a matter of trust between you and God that He will  provide those funds.  Faith Promise starts with prayer, then a calling according to what God has asked you to trust Him to provide.

Missions Around the World!

World Evangelism Fund (WEF) is the budget amount set to pay for missions around our world in over 152 world areas of the Church of the Nazarene.  Praise God, he is using us WORLDWIDE! 

Deputation Offering is the funds we give toward Missionaries to defray the cost of going to the mission field and to travel to teach about missions in our own local church.  Many times the missionaries will have permission to use these funds for specific items on the mission field that will significantly impact the missionaries’ ministry. 

World Mission Broadcast (WMB) was formally known as World Mission Radio, but now encompasses so much more including text-messaging, internet web-site ministry, television, alternative radio, and video/DVD ministries.  Millions are hearing about Jesus Christ through WMB each year and each month thousands are responding in faith.  Each week, teams follow-up with Bible studies and discipleship.  God is using us mightily! 

World Literature Fund (WLF) is funds set aside to go toward the publishing and distributing of Christian literature world-wide in hundreds of languages.  Our brothers and sisters around the world can read the Word of God and grow in faith through reading books, magazines, and pamphlets about the Christian life. 

Missionary Health Care Offering supplies the much needed health protection to our missionaries worldwide.  Additional ways to help raise funds for the Missionary Health Care is by each church honoring people in their own congregation for their service or remembering saints that have passed on.  These funds are termed as Distinguished Service Awards (DSA) and Memorial Roll. 

Alabaster offerings are taken each September and February.  Funds from these offerings go toward building much needed churches, parsonages, hospitals, buildings and projects around the world. 

L.I.N.K.S. stands for Loving Interested Nazarenes Knowing and Sharing.  It is a support system to encourage our missionaries worldwide.  We remember our missionaries on their birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, and throughout the year with cards, gifts and letters.  We let them know that we take an interest in them and we are praying for them.
